Sheltering

The MRC works side-by-side in year-round training with the Ventura County Emergency Medical Services Agency, Human Services Agency, Sheriff's Department, the American Red Cross and other county entities to be prepared for winter-warming homeless shelters, cooling shelters, and other natural and man-made disasters that may require sheltering.

Points of Distribution

Our team trains to handle PPE distribution (wildfires, outbreaks, etc.). We continue to train with inter-county agencies like Food Share (at their food distribution PODs) to be ready for any disaster.

Mental Health Response Unit

Our MRC unit Peer Support Team helps to fill gaps within the first responder community and respond to mass emergencies. We have 16 P.O.S.T. certified volunteers with career backgrounds in EMS, fire and law enforcement that were all voted on by their peers as trusted folks before training was approved.
